Adbusters

A good example of a zine - Adbusters is a strongly leftist magazine that has origins as a graphic design and art magazine. The designing and photography of their publication can often times be unusually good for a relatively small independent zine. The magazine now focuses on geopolitics- focusing on issues of corporations, the excesses of capitalism, information overload of the 20th century especially in pertaining to corporate advertising, the environment and global warming, and human rights issues. It sometimes holds viewpoints that some might consider extreme in our largely centrist political climate. However, I find it interesting to read nonetheless, as it relentlessly challenges the status quo of our times.
